About The Role: Drive value and have real impact in an exciting growth business in the health food sector This role sits within our Supply Chain team and reports directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.
As Head of Procurement, you will lead the strategic and operational procurement function, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging to support production and innovation.
Leading a team of two Procurement professionals, you will be instrumental in driving cost efficiencies, simplifying supplier networks, and enabling successful new product development (NPD).
As a member of our Senior Leadership Group, this is a hands-on leadership role that will shape procurement excellence and deliver tangible commercial impact across the business.
The role will be based at our Clayton South manufacturing site.
What you'll be doing: Working closely with the Chief Supply Chain Officer to ensure procurement activities align with broader business priorities and market trends, you'll be: Leading the planning and execution of procurement strategies to meet production schedules and inventory targets, Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships , negotiating commercially beneficial terms, and optimising value through cost, quality, and service metrics, Partnering with NPD, planning, and manufacturing teams within the business to enable smooth, timely and cost-effective delivery of exciting new product innovations, Managing inventory to optimal levels balancing supply and continuity work with capital efficiency, and Leading, coaching and developing a small team of procurement professionals fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence About You: We are looking for a strategic, delivery-focused procurement leader with a deep understanding of sourcing within manufacturing, food, or FMCG environments.
You thrive in fast-paced settings, bring a sharp commercial mindset, and are passionate about building strong supplier and internal partnerships that drive business value.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement with: Proven experience in raw material and packaging procurement, with a strong track record of ensuring supply continuity.
Demonstrated success in cost management, pricing negotiations, and delivering positive purchase price variance (PPV) outcomes.
Expertise in supplier consolidation and performance management.
Hands-on involvement in supporting NPD from a procurement perspective.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across planning, production, and quality teams.
Experience leading and developing small teams with a coaching mindset.
Proficiency in ERP systems and data-led decision making.
Relevant qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related fields are preferred.
You will bring to the team your passion, energy, and ability to work collaboratively to elevate our brands and service delivery to new and exciting places.
