Job Overview

The AWS Solutions Architecture team collaborates with government agencies to design innovative solutions. Our work can be highly sensitive, time-critical, focusing on strategic and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of AWS technologies and broad expertise in constructing applications and services using the AWS platform.
  • Partnering with internal teams and leveraging a deep understanding of our tools and products to create highly-scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.

Skill Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects requiring participation from other teams.

This role is part of the Public Sector Solutions Architecture team, working with public sector customers in the Australian Government, National Security, and Defence. As a public sector Senior Solution Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping and delivering on a strategy to build awareness and adoption of AWS cloud services within critical strategic accounts.
