About Us:Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service operates Rockhampton Hospital, the largest medical facility in the Central Queensland region. As a key referral center, we are dedicated to fulfilling the objectives outlined in our strategic plan, aiming to provide exceptional healthcare services to the local community.
Our hospital features four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, supported by a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU). We are accredited for specialist training and actively engage in both teaching and research initiatives.
About the Role:This is a remarkable opportunity to enhance the established Urology Services in Central Queensland. For the past five years, we have collaborated with the Princess Alexandra Hospital to deliver these services. Our future vision includes the establishment of an independent Urology unit. The selected Surgeons will collaborate with a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) to help realize this goal.
About You:- A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) that qualifies for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Urology with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), typically requiring Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Urology.
- Active participation in ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs with relevant organizations.
Salary Information for Staff Specialists:
Total remuneration can reach up to $528,432 per annum (L27), which includes:
- Base salary ranging from $210,332 to $266,677 per annum (L18 - L27)
- Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%
- Leave loading of 17.5%
- Professional Development Leave of 3.6 weeks per annum.
- Professional Development Allowance of $21,500 per annum.
- Motor Vehicle Allowance.
- Overtime and on-call allowances.
- Attraction and Retention Incentive Allowance (with Private Practice arrangements).
It is a condition of employment for this role that the employee is vaccinated against vaccine-preventable diseases as specified in the Role Description.
