POSITION SUMMARY

Workshop Supervisor – Truck Bay

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Workshop Supervisor to oversee our Automotive On-Highway division.

The ideal candidate will manage our Local and Fleet clientele operating Kenworth, Western Star, and International Acco heavy-duty vehicles equipped with our 15 and 9 litre engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a skilled team of technicians and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations throughout the service process.
  • Uphold all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and regulations, reporting any issues or incidents to the Branch Leadership.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.
  • Occasionally engage in hands-on supervisory tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred qualification as a Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic, though candidates with a Light Vehicle background and substantial heavy vehicle experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience with engine products and Heavy On-Highway Vehicles, such as Kenworth and Western Star.
  • Familiarity with electronic troubleshooting systems and adherence to established OEM procedures.
  • HR (Heavy Rigid License) Truck certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring within a workshop setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
