Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our Cummins Workshop team in Wodonga. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy diesel products, including diagnosing and repairing various engines, disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and components, and engine rebuilding and reconditioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
  • Diagnose and repair various engines
  • Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to the Supervisor
  • Complete required documentation

Requirements

  • Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic, or plant mechanic. Light vehicle with heavy vehicle experience will also be considered.
  • Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products. Cummins engines is preferred but not essential.
  • Ideally possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge.
  • Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers.
  • Safety Focused.
