Northern Trust, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Risk Framework & Reporting Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering risk reporting needs, including quarterly risk reports to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate risk reporting needs, including quarterly risk reports to senior stakeholders.
- Assist in the review and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework for Northern Trust Australia, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Advise first lines on the application of risk management frameworks and provide guidance on risk appetite statements and risk management strategies.
- Integrate risk into the business planning process through risk appetite reviews and line 2 risk assessments of strategic/business initiatives.
- Monitor risk performance against appetite and use key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to report on risk management.
- Conduct risk culture assessments and develop action plans to support maturity.
- Support the delivery of risk culture initiatives to strengthen risk culture, including risk culture monitoring and reporting.
- Assist in the delivery of annual risk management declarations to regulatory bodies, including documenting supporting risk assessments and evidence.
- Provide secretarial support to the Chief Risk Officer as secretary for the Australia Risk Management Committee.
- Monitor regulatory developments impacting risk management frameworks and assess impacts and implementation of regulatory change.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Law/Risk or related fields.
- 5-7 years of experience working in risk management within Australia's financial services or APRA regulated entities.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, risk culture, APRA, and ASIC risk management requirements.
- Knowledge of company's strategic goals and experience or studies in risk-related fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze information for insights.
- Experience in data analytics and reporting with a range of visualization software.
- Experience in stakeholder management or a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
