Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:
Mercer is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and advising on the operation of our risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement risk management frameworks to ensure effective risk management practices.
- Provide coaching and support to first-line teams on key risk management processes and frameworks.
- Execute targeted deep dive reviews on risk maturity as and when needed.
- Provide training and advice to support risk and compliance frameworks, and embedding of the 3LOD model.
- Participate in local and global initiatives with respect to risk and compliance frameworks.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' working in a risk, compliance, or legal role with experience related to managed investment schemes, custodian arrangements, funds management, or investments.
- Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services business, with an ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
- Sound understanding and ability to operate within Risk and Compliance frameworks, including the ability to consider risk strategically and take a commercial approach to compliance when required.
- Ability to provide value-add advice to the Business in respect of risks, controls, process, and administrative matters.
