The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Regional People and Safety Manager for our Southern region, covering Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory, and Western Australia. This newly created role will partner with senior leaders to deliver Kinetic's People Plan at an operational level, leading a team of professionals to provide advice, guidance, and support for contemporary, sustainable, and safe employment conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional areas within the team to ensure an exceptional employee experience across the lifecycle
- Develop programs with Centres of Excellence to improve the employee experience
- Lead the HSEQ agenda across the region, developing and executing strategies in support of the overall business plan
- Create a safety culture that enables the reduction of incidents, accidents, and workers' compensation claims
- Rollout people initiatives and lead cyclical activities for the region, such as wellbeing, talent identification, succession planning, employee engagement, and performance and development
- Ensure the effective delivery of driver training in the region
- Identify training needs and solutions across all areas of the workforce
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Health and Safety, or a related field
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work at pace in an ambitious business
- Deep understanding of contemporary people management practices
- Experience as a general human resources practitioner with exposure to health and safety, injury management, learning and development, and employee relations
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
