Anton Murray Consulting is representing a prominent Private Wealth Management firm in search of a skilled Client Onboarding / KYC professional to enhance their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Know Your Client (KYC) account opening documentation adheres to both global standards and local regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be part of the Account Management Team, which is dedicated to managing the comprehensive onboarding process for clients, including Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and High Net Worth (HNW) individuals, as well as Trusts. The team is responsible for a diverse domestic client base, which includes individuals, joint accounts, trusts, and an expanding portfolio of funds and subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess documentation provided by Sales, including Client Identification Program (CIP) documents and Account Opening Documents, ensuring compliance with global and local policies. Communicate effectively with Sales regarding any missing or inconsistent documentation.
- Identify and escalate regulatory concerns to management for further analysis; perform Enhanced Due Diligence as required. Present high-risk accounts for Global Financial Crimes (GFC) review.
- Verify the accuracy of critical values impacting clients' Money Laundering (ML) and Terrorist Financing (TF) risk assessments, such as Source of Wealth (SoW) and Total Net Worth.
- Engage proactively with Sales teams to provide guidance on KYC and ML/TF matters, aiming to enhance the quality of client due diligence.
- Ensure proper retention of account opening documentation and relevant approval records in the internal database, while monitoring the timely receipt of outstanding documents.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of various account structures.
- Familiarity with trusts, charities, and foundations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CIP requirements for onboarding high-risk clients is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Self-driven and enthusiastic.
- Ability to recognize risks associated with onboarding processes, including identifying potential red flags and understanding high-risk industries.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience is required.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector is preferred, though candidates with less experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in Compliance or Risk within a private banking environment or onboarding at a top-tier bank is ideal.
