Position Highlights

This part-time, temporary role is focused on providing quality Catholic education and maximising student outcomes. The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on delivering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.

Opportunities exist for this position to be extended to a full-time role, and we welcome applications from recent graduates as well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • Demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach Music K-6, with the ability to teach Drama and Dance being advantageous
  • Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • Use relevant technologies to enhance contemporary learning experiences
  • Lead vocal ensembles, such as the school choir
  • Work collaboratively with the instrumental tutors and classroom teachers to deliver quality performing arts education
  • Promote and implement Sydney Catholic Schools mission and vision
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Primary Education or a tertiary qualification in Education with Music experience and/or qualifications, plus the ability to teach Drama and Dance
  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
