Procurement Manager for Mining and Resource Categories

Rio Tinto Procurement is seeking a Manager, Resource & Mining Services to lead a team in delivering category strategies across a diverse portfolio. This role will work collaboratively with functional disciplines, mining operations, and Procurement Business Partners to develop commercial strategies and drive business priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Evolving and implementing sub-category strategies related to RMS;
- Identifying opportunities to uncover new value in safety, productivity, and cash by working in collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Leading the category team to deliver and implement commercial strategies aligned with Rio Tinto Iron Ore priorities;
- Developing and leveraging partnerships to improve Indigenous employment outcomes and conduct sustainable engagement with Local, Indigenous, and Traditional Owner businesses;
- Collaborating with Contractor Management teams and strategic suppliers to develop their safety maturity and improve safety performance;
- Contributing to driving Global Procurement and BP West Coast cultural and functional priorities as a member of the BP West Extended Leadership Team.
- You have significant work experience in commercial and/or operational roles with prior exposure in managing mining-related categories preferred;
- You possess strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with proven capability in developing strategic solutions to critical business problems;
- You can coach and lead high-performing teams with high stakeholder engagement standards;

- A competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience ($120,000 - $180,000 per annum) plus annual incentive program;
