HammondCare is looking for an experienced Coordinator to lead a diverse volunteer team in Greenwich Hospital.

This is a permanent part-time position of 22.8 hours per week, with the flexibility to discuss working three full days or four days.

The Coordinator will be responsible for

- Recruiting and coordinating volunteers in a palliative care and hospital environment.

- Managing and mentoring a team of volunteers to support hospital services, including social events, social support, coffee carts, biographers, and administration.

- Developing and delivering training programs for volunteers, both online and in-person.

- Maintaining accurate records in our volunteer database (Salesforce) and adhering to established processes and guidelines for Volunteer Services.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience in managing teams and recruiting staff.
  • Previous experience in volunteer management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and guide volunteer teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including accuracy in database management.
  • Passion for working in health services.
  • Current driver's license and own car transportation.
