About the Role

The Volunteer Manager plays a key leadership role in managing and developing a team of volunteer coordinators who oversee volunteer services across designated business areas. This role ensures alignment with organisational goals, provides strategic leadership, enhances the effectiveness of volunteer programs, and contributes to workforce planning through innovative solutions.
Oversight of Volunteer Systems
This involves ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to support volunteer operations, assessing and mitigating risks associated with volunteer activities, overseeing volunteer-related complaints and performance management, and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme requirements.
Maximising Volunteer Engagement
This includes supporting volunteer coordinators in training, mentoring, and engaging volunteers, ensuring consistent communication and engagement initiatives for volunteers, evaluating volunteer satisfaction and implementing strategies to enhance retention, and representing our organisation at events, conferences, and external engagements to promote volunteer involvement.
