About the Role:

Xero is seeking a skilled Partner Consultant to support our Partner Sales channel in driving the success of accounting and bookkeeping firms in migrating clients to our platform and helping them develop a digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver expert pre-sales technical demonstrations of Xero's value and benefits to shape and close pre-qualified deals and ensure a smooth transition from sales to utilization.
    • Work closely with the Sales team to develop business plans for Partners and sales plans for the territory.
    • Implement online strategies developed in conjunction with Account Managers for each Partner.
    • Engage in regular meetings with territory sales staff to agree on sales and project priorities.
    • Assist Partners with data conversions through detailed project planning and training guidance.
    • Handle Partner technical queries and escalations, educate Partners on available resources, and update the CRM system with client communications.
    • Maintain and update the CRM system with practice staff and contact details.
    • Respond promptly to Partner enquiries and manage the creation of resources for frequently asked questions.

Requirements:

    • Intimate knowledge of accounting practices and related systems.
    • Training experience and accounting software knowledge.
    • Exposure to financial reporting, tax returns, and compliance work.
    • Understanding of CRM systems.
    • Passion for SaaS and the online accounting market.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to build relationships.
    • Ability to create a quick and strong rapport with Partners.
    • Loads of initiative and ability to work autonomously.
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
    • Process-driven mindset and a passion for making a difference.
