Key Responsibilities

The Faith Community Development Officer plays a vital role in partnering with Australian churches to invite their congregations to support, pray for, and sponsor our area programs through Child Sponsorship, Disaster and Christmas Relief, and other campaigns.

This fast-paced, relational role requires identifying, managing, and leading key stakeholders and influencers. The main outcome is enabling churches to financially support our mission. You will be required to meet financial and non-financial targets.

Based in NSW

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Developing a mature portfolio of Church Partnerships who support WVA offerings, including Child Sponsorship, Disaster and Christmas Relief, and other campaigns
  • Engaging Churches and prospects to offer opportunities to achieve impact through partnerships
  • Developing pipeline and fundraising strategies for Chosen, 40HR famine, Emergencies, and other WV programs
  • Delivering presentations to congregations on the work of World Vision, inviting people to participate in our child sponsorship and other fundraising programs
  • Growing WVA's presence and reputation across your state
  • Achieving financial and non-financial targets on time and budget in accordance with established KPIs

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum + superannuation

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced professional with strong people relationship and influencing skills, patience, and perseverance to bring partners and stakeholders onboard. Key requirements include:

  • Experience working in the not-for-profit or church sector
  • Implementation of strategic visions and development of fundraising pipelines for key programs
  • At least five years of experience in fundraising, with demonstrated success engaging with Church partners for fundraising in not-for-profit organisations
  • Strong understanding of church movements in Australia and around the world
  • Ideal qualifications from formal Bible college study
  • Exceptional networking and entrepreneurial abilities
  • Business development and relationship management experience
  • Demonstrated ability in key stakeholder engagement
