Chief Financial Officer

The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. As a key member of the Diocesan Leadership Group, you will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to guide, mentor, and inspire a high-performing Finance team, ensuring the highest standards of financial management and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial expertise and oversight across the Diocesan agencies
  • Deliver quality and timely finance functions, including statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement financial plans and policies to ensure sustainable long-term financial health
  • Engage with advisory boards and committees to achieve the Diocese's financial goals
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior finance leadership role
  • Demonstrated executive leadership skills and ability to respect and uphold the ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Extensive experience analysing complex financial data and providing strategic, tactical and operational financial advice
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
