We are currently seeking Youth Workers in Tamworth with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and support children and young people in placement
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
- Provide specific supports to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people
- Foster a positive cultural identity within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people
- Seek positive, collaborative relationships with extended family and the local Aboriginal community
- Maintain a healthy, well-kept living environment
- Promote healthy routines, meals, activities and interests tailored to each resident
- Contribute to day to day needs and schedules within the house
- Complete mandatory reporting and daily agency reporting accurately and within timeframes
- Monitor daily workplace health and safety matters and report concerns
- Commitment to providing high quality care and attention to each resident
- Embodies therapeutic practices, routines and responses tailored to each resident
- Assists in creating a team culture that reflects positive care experience for each resident
- Is punctual, reliable and communicates their needs and/or concerns clearly
