About the Position

The Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting the Head of Operations - Ticketing. This position is responsible for supervising the Box Office sales channel across multiple locations onsite and offsite, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and long-range planning.

In the absence of the Head of Operations - Ticketing, this role assumes temporary seniority within the department.

This position contributes to the efficient administration of the SOH Box Office ticketing services, including reconciliation, staff supervision, development coaching, timekeeping, and general administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager - Contact Centre, Duty Supervisors, and wider Ticketing Management team.
  • Service internal and external stakeholders and representatives of presenting organisations in delivering sales and services for all ticketed performances, tours, experiences, and visitor propositions.
  • Work onsite for key special events, including New Year's Eve, Australia Day, and other major events and festivals as required.

Requirements

We seek an experienced candidate with:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in ticketing sales environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills in both B2C and B2B contexts.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills to maintain relationships and achieve high service standards.
  • Proven financial reconciliation of daily takings experience.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and coach staff through day-to-day operations.
