Lead Stakeholder Engagement

The NSW Independent Planning Commission is seeking a skilled professional to lead stakeholder engagement in supporting the decision-makers for the State's large, contentious, and state-significant development projects.

Job Description:

This role involves working directly with the Executive Director and the planning team in coordinating engagement with the public on proposed developments that are contentious for the community. You will need a fine eye for detail and accuracy, with the ability to work within tight timeframes. Exceptional relationship building skills will be key to your success, along with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement - at personal, team and organisational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate engagement with the public on proposed developments
  • Work with the Executive Director and the planning team
  • Build relationships with stakeholders
  • Deliver public participation processes to the highest standards of integrity
  • Facilitate meaningful public participation and build trust in the Commission's processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant communications, planning, stakeholder engagement or public participation experience
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours and on weekends if required

Benefits:

  • Remuneration starting from $131,094 plus superannuation
  • Role based in Sydney CBD, with flexible work arrangements
