Job Description:

As a Traction Linesperson with Queensland Rail, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead traction power equipment. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead traction power equipment according to predefined work programs.
  • Adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements and legislative policies.
  • Progressing the implementation of work procedures for continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of overhead traction power equipment and relevant maintenance standards.
  • Proficiency in High Voltage Operating Procedures and safe working practices.
  • Strong skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead traction power equipment.
  • Familiarity with high voltage Safeworking practices and procedures.

Pre-employment Qualifications:

  • Current Electrical Linesperson license (Traction experience essential).
  • National Driver's license C.
