The Central Adelaide Local Health Network seeks an experienced Geriatric Nurse Educator to join the CO-ACT team at Hampstead Centre.

Job Description

This is a key opportunity to drive positive change in healthcare education by providing corporate support through education, training, and development of learning materials. You will ensure nursing staff are equipped to deliver quality care, take accountability for nursing education outcomes, and align practice with policy while promoting a positive work culture for improved patient and client outcomes.

About the Role

In this role, you'll support nursing staff at CO-ACT, lead geriatric nursing education, and coordinate projects to improve education and service delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality education programs.

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse, with proven expertise in nursing education and staff development.
  • You will be able to apply education principles to support and manage change, with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
  • You will have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and quality improvement systems, along with knowledge of contemporary healthcare and nursing education issues.
