Job Opportunity

The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) leads the public sector in achieving positive outcomes through collaborative efforts with government and community.

As a central agency, CMTEDD provides strategic advice and support to the Chief Minister, Ministers, and Cabinet on policy, economic, and financial matters, service delivery, whole-of-government issues, and intergovernmental relations.

The Directorate facilitates the implementation of government priorities, drives initiatives, and sets the strategic direction for the ACT Public Service (ACTPS), ensuring it is well-positioned to perform its role effectively.

We seek two communications professionals to join the Communications and Engagement Division. Our primary role is to ensure the Canberra community is well-informed about government programs, policies, and services, providing meaningful opportunities for input into decision-making processes.

Our team works flexibly, allowing staff to balance work circumstances with the needs of the Division, including the option to work from home.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary education qualifications in Communications, Marketing, and/or Public Relations are highly desirable.
  • Past experience working in a government environment is also desirable.

Additional Information:

This is a temporary position available immediately for 12 months, with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies within the next 12 months.
