Job Summary:

A strategic communication professional is sought to drive impactful outcomes for clients across government, defence, and defence industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team in developing and delivering strategic communication plans that meet client objectives.
  • Identify media and communication opportunities and risks within the client environment, informing planning, decision-making, and priority-setting.
  • Create compelling content, including speeches, publications, and reports, for both internal and external audiences.
  • Develop stakeholder messaging and talking points for defence and defence industry clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to organise key activities and develop event schedules that facilitate engagement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide specialist advice on designing, developing, and implementing media and communication activities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing.
  • Baseline clearance or eligibility to attain.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely when required, as well as collaboratively within a team.
