The Human Resources team at Vanguard Australia is pivotal in shaping strategies that enhance talent and leadership while fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.

Your Role as a Compensation and Benefits Advisor

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Total Rewards to establish a localized compensation framework that aligns with our global strategy, focusing on attracting and retaining top talent in the Australian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Total Rewards to create a tailored compensation framework that aligns with our overall strategy and supports the attraction and retention of a motivated workforce.
  • Design and implement compensation policies and initiatives that are specifically suited to the Australian market.
  • Develop communication strategies to enhance awareness and utilization of our total rewards offerings.
  • Work with global Total Rewards stakeholders to manage compensation activities, including annual bonuses and merit adjustments.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises and manage surveys to ensure competitive compensation practices within the industry.
  • Partner with legal, risk, and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
  • Maintain strong relationships with benefits providers to ensure high-quality service and value.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements, including regulatory submissions and remuneration disclosures.
  • Stay informed about compensation and benefits trends, changes in employment law, and compliance requirements to inform program design.
  • Manage the mobility of international employees relocating to or from Australia through effective collaboration.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in total rewards, with a solid understanding of compensation and benefits regulations, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, with experience in creating user-friendly models.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability to navigate complex challenges and develop actionable solutions collaboratively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or within a global organization is preferred.
  • A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
