Job Overview
The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be accountable for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers in the Pharma and Applied Markets sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Planning: Develop a comprehensive account strategy to maximize share of wallet and partner at the highest levels with key customers.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships at senior levels within assigned accounts.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities across the breadth of the portfolio.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business unit product management and sales teams, to align specific proposals and offerings with company objectives.
- Performance Management: Own the business objectives for the account strategy, including umbrella financial objectives and compliance metrics.
- Initiative Definition: Define opportunities and initiatives, such as bundles, incentives, and rebates, to bias the relationship towards significant improvement in customer's share with the company.
- Regular Reviews: Conduct regular key account reviews and business updates to key collaborators within Client Company and within Thermo Fisher Scientific ANZ.
Requirements:
- Formal Qualification: Formal tertiary qualification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a strategic account executive or similar skills is preferred.
- Track Record: A track record of successful performance in a high-focused, dedication, and high-intensity environment is essential.
- Industry Insight: Strong business insight of our industry sector in Pharma and Applied Markets, its key players, its key trends, and potential challenges is preferred.
- Global Experience: Experience in working in a global and matrix organisation with a decentralised model is preferred.
- Multicultural Experience: Experience acquired across several companies is preferred.

- Ambiguity Management: Ability to efficiently operate with ambiguity and lead change.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiate outcomes successfully.
- Integrity: Proven high level of integrity and professional standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Passion for continuous interpersonal improvement.
- Digital Literacy: Strong digital literacy in Microsoft Office and standard IT software systems i.e. CRM.
Travel Requirements: 30 - 40%
