Job Title: Telecommunications Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunication Lead Designer/Architect to design and lead the development of robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that meet business goals. This role is pivotal in shaping the communications infrastructure-spanning voice, data, mobile, and cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect end-to-end telecommunications solutions across voice, data, mobile, and IP networks
  • Complete IP network design including IP spreadsheets with the network design, network diagrams, device configuration for the system and actual configuration of the switches and firewalls, as well as assisting the VMWare lead on the networking configurations within VMware
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure seamless implementation and performance of network solutions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments to enhance connectivity and service delivery
  • Define and implement best practices for network and capacity management to ensure optimal performance and scalability
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance across network transformation programs to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Education in IT, Telecommunications or Engineering (Mandatory)
  • Proven experience in telecommunications architecture, network engineering, or infrastructure strategy
  • Deep understanding of telecom technologies including MPLS, SIP, LTE/5G, SDN, and unified communications
  • Experience with enterprise-grade platforms and integration tools
  • Strong knowledge of network security, identity management, and performance optimisation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, TOGAF, AWS Networking, etc.) are highly desirable
  • Experience in large-scale network transformation or telecom modernization projects
