Financial Accountant Role

We partner with engineering and construction organisations in Western Australia.

This Financial Accountant will take ownership of key reporting, compliance, and process improvement functions for various companies. You'll contribute directly to their financial health and strategic objectives, working alongside a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and year-end group consolidations in line with AASB standards.
  • Produce statutory financial statements for entities, ensuring they meet AASB requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts integrity.
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, FBT, and BAS for Australian entities.
  • Calculate and record tax provisions, including deferred tax and tax effect accounting under AASB.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and ATO compliance.
Process Improvement & Systems Enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting and tax processes, including automation and system upgrades.
  • Strengthen internal controls and procedures to support business goals.
Requirements & Skills
  • 2–5 years post-qualification experience, preferably within a large group environment.
  • Strong consolidation knowledge and AASB accounting standards.
  • Corporate tax compliance and reporting experience.
  • High proficiency in Excel and ERP/consolidation systems.
  • Background in Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms is highly regarded.
