Key Responsibilities

As an Employment Lawyer at Axiom, you will provide legal advice and support to our clients in relation to employment, industrial relations, work health and safety, and workers' compensation law. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert legal advice on employment law matters, including contract reviews and policy development.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Representing clients in employment-related disputes, including Fair Work Commission and Supreme Court proceedings.
  • Advising on workplace investigations, grievances, and whistleblowing complaints.
  • Supporting clients in managing employment-related risks and compliance with Australian employment laws.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience in employment law, with a strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and the Fair Work Act.
  • Experience in contract drafting, procurement, and enterprise agreement interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Full Australian working rights and eligibility to practice in Australia.
