This is an exciting opportunity to join Transport for NSW as a Safety Officer in the Ballina Local Government Area.

We are seeking a reliable and community-minded individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on their local community. As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students, parents, teachers, and local motorists.

In this casual position, you will provide relief at school zones across the Ballina Local Government Area, working a minimum of one hour shift per day, Monday to Friday during school term time. Your duties may include directing traffic, monitoring pedestrian crossings, and providing general assistance to ensure a safe environment for all road users.

The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate, plus superannuation, providing a competitive salary package. You will also have the opportunity to grow with our team, develop your skills, and make a real difference in the lives of our communities.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you are a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about safety and community service, we would love to hear from you.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms, and equipment will be provided. A Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment are also required.
