Job Title: Electrical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Expert to join our engineering team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise during the detailed design of energy storage and solar energy projects.

  • Provide technical expertise during detailed engineering of energy storage and solar energy projects to meet project objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure safe integration of the electrical system into final project designs, emphasizing technical, safety, and quality considerations while optimizing project schedule and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead and manage the technical review and verification of electrical design documentation produced for energy storage and solar PV projects.
  • Certify internally produced documentation according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and system manuals from suppliers or third parties.
  • Provide and participate in the evaluation of technical proposals to ensure continuous improvement of energy storage and solar PV solutions within the company.
  • Provide engineering support for BESS and PV projects and collaborate with internal departments involved in project phases as development, tendering, execution, and operations.
  • Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
  • Participate in the definition and design of the electrical system of energy storage and PV projects, including DC system, LV system, MV system, and interfacing with HV design and grid connection.
  • Participate in and promote project technical solutions to ensure compliance with all technical, safety, and regulation requirements, including certification process of the documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues that may affect project delivery.
  • Collaborate with different engineering teams in Australia and Spain to optimize project outcomes.
  • Verify that purchased materials and services meet project requirements.
  • Meet with the Client to explain the design, resolve doubts, and provide clarifications.
Requirements:
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree.
  • Chartered Engineer with RPEng or similar is desirable.
  • Between 5 -7 years' experience.
  • Availability to travel for site visits and meetings with clients and suppliers.
  • AutoCAD – Intermediate.
