Coastal Operations Manager

This is a key leadership role that oversees the operational management of coastal resources. As a Coastal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing small high-performing work teams and ensuring quality customer service at all times.

  • You must have a strong background in conservation and ecosystem management, with a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in working outdoors with minimal supervision is required, along with sound written and oral communication skills.
About The Role

The successful candidate will undertake routine coastal resource management activities associated with the operational management of natural foreshores. This will include coordinating and leading small high-performing work teams to ensure the provision of quality customer service at all times.

  1. Effectively manage and coordinate beach and access maintenance projects, including on-the-job support of teams in terms of material, work processes, and work performance.
  2. Supervise contracted machine works for beach and access maintenance.
  3. Undertake beach access tree and vegetation management, pruning, and vegetation dispersal and brush cutting.
