About The Role

As a Coastal Field Leader, you will play a key role in managing our diverse range of coastal assets, working closely with the community to achieve our vision of being Australia's most sustainable region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine coastal resource management activities, ensuring the operational management of our natural foreshores is effective and efficient.
  • Effectively coordinate and lead small high performing work teams, providing quality customer service and ensuring projects are completed on time.
  • Lead projects or operational site activities, providing on-the-job support to teams in terms of material, work processes, and work performance.
  • Supervise contracted machine works for beach and access maintenance, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Undertake beach access tree and vegetation management, pruning, and vegetation dispersal, and brush cutting, maintaining our natural landscape.
Requirements
  • Hold a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in working outdoors in public spaces with minimal supervision.
  • Leading small effective, high performing teams and coordinating employees, contractors, materials, and conflicting priorities to achieve required outcomes.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills with the ability to use business technologies, including MS Office Suite, mobile devices, asset, customer, and property management systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant legislative requirements.
