About The Role

The Transport Network Operations branch provides high-level maintenance, construction, and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets. Continuous performance improvement through leadership and employee engagement is a key focus.

As a Field Leader, you will coordinate and deliver day-to-day activities involved in construction and maintenance programs, lead staff safety, foster a work culture aligned with council values, and assist with monitoring capital works and asset rehabilitation programs.

We seek candidates experienced in supervising tasks through construction and maintenance phases, including roads, concrete and timber structures, drainage infrastructure, and disaster-related events.

Primarily, You Will
  • Assist with ordering plant and materials for projects.
  • Apply advanced skills to detect and rectify problems requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Exercise discretion in organizing work, applying skills, and managing timeframes independently.
About You

You will have a Certificate III in Civil Construction, with experience in civil construction and maintenance, including supervisory roles, and hold a current Queensland 'C' driver's license.

Physical fitness and dexterity for labouring, heavy lifting, and bending are essential, and employment is contingent upon a pre-employment medical assessment.
