Job Opportunity: Native Title Expert

This role involves collaboration with a dynamic team on various complex legal projects, focusing on native title and cultural heritage matters. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and research skills, as well as experience in negotiation and agreement-making.

  • The position entails working with clients across multiple sectors, including renewable energy, critical minerals, resources, government, infrastructure, and telecommunications, providing expert advice and support for native title and shared benefits agreements, consultation processes, and regulatory compliance.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Cultivating relationships with stakeholders and indigenous communities through engagement strategies, negotiations, and agreement-making for native title and shared benefits agreements.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure effective project delivery.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings related to native title claims and native title compensation claims.

Successful candidates will have at least 2-4 years post-admission experience, a strong commitment to client service, and well-developed relationship management abilities. They will also be enthusiastic about business development opportunities.

Responsibilities
