Occupational Therapist – Rural LAP

We are seeking experienced and registered Occupational Therapists for short-term placements in rural and remote communities across Australia.

Job Description:

The Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP) plays a key role in supporting the Australian Government's rural workforce capacity agenda by delivering essential healthcare services to rural and remote regions.

Our clients rely on us to provide access to allied health services in underserved areas, which is an opportunity for you to contribute to improving healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to clients in rural and remote locations.
  • Work collaboratively with local healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as an occupational therapist with the relevant state or territory regulatory body.
  • Proven experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings, preferably with Indigenous communities.
