We are seeking a skilled Culinary Leader to join our team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and talented individual ready to step up and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading sections of the kitchen during service, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will also assist with stock control, ordering, and menu development, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with food safety standards.
You will have the opportunity to train and mentor junior kitchen staff to support team growth and advancement. Our people are the heart of our success, and we are committed to investing in your skills to support your career growth and progression.
About this role- Lead and supervise sections of the kitchen during service
- Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and menu development
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with food safety standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to support team growth
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar, ready to step up
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food
- Ability to lead a section and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- Relevant trade qualifications in commercial cookery
