Financial Operations Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day trust account operations, including receipting, payments, reconciliations, and preparing trust reports.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the trust inbox, responding to internal and external queries, liaising with auditors, banks, and stakeholders on trust account matters, and working with offshore accounting support on reconciliations and quarterly statutory deposit calculations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional who takes pride in accuracy, loves a well-reconciled account, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience in a trust accounting role (ideally in a law firm) or solid experience as an Accounts Payable Officer within a professional services firm looking to take a step up.
- Experience with online banking platforms and payment processing.
- Strong attention to detail and process-driven mindset.
- Excellent time management skills — calm under pressure and deadline-focused.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients, partners, and lawyers.
- Intermediate Excel skills and general tech-savviness.
- Adaptable, positive, and comfortable working in a high-growth environment.
