Trust Accountant

We are seeking a detail-driven professional to join our finance team and play a key role in managing trust operations.

This is a hands-on role with variety and responsibility, working closely with our accounting support and partners across the business to ensure our trust accounting processes run smoothly and meet compliance requirements.

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day trust account operations including receipting, payments, reconciliations.
  • Prepare trust reports, manage annual trust audits, and lodge statutory returns.
  • Process trust deposit forms and payment requisitions.
  • Monitor and manage the trust inbox, responding to internal and external queries.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and stakeholders on trust account matters.
  • Work with offshore accounting support on reconciliations and quarterly statutory deposit calculations.
  • Bank liaison on trust banking queries.
  • Ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Process internal bank transfers and manage corporate credit card administration.
  • Assist with reviewing weekly payment runs.

Requirements:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in a trust accounting role or solid experience as an Accounts Payable Officer.
  2. Experience with online banking platforms and payment processing.
  3. Strong attention to detail and process-driven mindset.
  4. Excellent time management skills – calm under pressure and deadline-focused.
  5. Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients, partners, and colleagues.
  6. Intermediate Excel skills and general tech-savviness.
  7. Adaptable, positive, and comfortable working in a high-growth environment.
