Security Technology Officer

This role sits within a security technology team and as part of the wider safety and security function, under operational risk and compliance.

The position operates evolving security technology systems to support the security preparedness and response to incidents in multiple locations; including service centers, contact centers, and middle offices. The role provides expert guidance and technical expertise in implementing and operating evolving security technology systems to protect organizational assets, facilities, and resources effectively.

This position would suit someone who has a passion for security technology and security in general There is a requirement for demonstrated security industry experience, including a security license and 2 years minimum experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of experts in the security technology field, monitoring electronic security systems (CCTV, alarms and access control systems) and supporting the incident and emergency management team with real time security information to protect people and organizational resources.
  • Work with internal customers, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the good working order and monitoring of all security technology systems.
  • Think outside the square and look for new opportunities to improve access to and operation of the security technology systems.
  • Keep your knowledge of security technology systems up to date, including operating practices, safety and security policies and procedures to support the resolution of issues.
  • Be a champion at responding to reactive maintenance requirements and support the continuous uplift of systems through uplift programs and initiatives to enhance security efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Experience with electronic security systems (Access Control/CCTV) and control room environments
  • Demonstrated security industry experience in a security technology role, a security operations center and/or a frontline service environment security control room.
