Voluntary Assisted Dying Policy Advisor

About the Role:

The Clinical Policy Manager will lead a team in implementing voluntary assisted dying schemes in Queensland.

  • Develop clinical policies, guidelines, education and training, and other content to support the scheme.
  • Lead or participate in preparation of written documentation including reports, guidelines, protocols, policies, briefing notes, submissions, reports, correspondence and presentations.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and advise on policy challenges, opportunities, priorities and issues.
  • Foster productive and respectful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enable effective implementation of voluntary assisted dying in Queensland.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholder groups to achieve desired outcomes.
You Will Have:
  • Experience in delivering policy initiatives to support large, complex policy change programs.
  • Able to prioritize and respond to time-sensitive issues while managing high-volume requests for information.
  • Multiple task management skills with ability to coordinate activities within tight timeframes.
  • Research and critical thinking skills with ability to analyze and integrate information from diverse sources.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
