The role Reporting to the Clinical Policy Manager, Voluntary Assisted Dying Unit, you will:
- Contribute to the implementation of a voluntary assisted dying scheme in Queensland.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies, guidelines, education and training, and other content.
- Lead or participate in preparation of written documentation including reports, guidelines, protocols, policies, briefing notes, submissions, reports, correspondence and presentations.
- Undertake research and analysis to identify and advise on policy challenges, opportunities, priorities and issues.
- Build and maintain productive and respectful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enable effective implementation of voluntary assisted dying in Queensland.
- Participate as an effective team member and work collaboratively with other members of the team and stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes.
- Undertake other work as directed by project leads, Director or Executive Director to support the successful delivery of the project objectives within agreed time parameters.
**The successful personYou will have**:
- Experience in contributing to the delivery of a broad range of policy initiatives to enable the successful implementation of a large, complex policy change program.
- Demonstrated ability to be able to prioritise and respond to time-critical issues while being flexible in managing high-volume requests for information.Ability to undertake multiple tasks and coordinate activities effectively within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated research and critical thinking skills with an ability to analyse and integrate information from diverse sources.
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise way.
- Proven ability to work within a team to implement complex change management projects.
- A clinical background and experience working in a multidisciplinary public health care environment is desirable.
- Experience in developing clinical policies and guidelines is highly desirable.
