As an education support class member, you will be a valuable part of our team providing tailored support to students with autism.

To help autistic children transition smoothly into mainstream or specialist schools, we offer initial support services. This includes connecting students with local community schools to provide ongoing professional learning and advice.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Communicating effectively with teachers regarding student needs
- Providing physical care and emotional support to students
- Facilitating engagement in play and learning activities
- Implementing positive behaviour support strategies
- Collaborating with students, teachers, parents, and the broader community in a respectful and objective manner
This position involves performing tasks under supervision, including coordinating education support class staff within specific areas or educational programs.
Working hours are 8:45AM to 3:15PM, four days a week, and 8:45AM to 4:15PM, one day a week.
An education support class role supports educational services provided to students while excluding duties typically associated with teaching positions.
Certification or qualifications of up to three years may be required for this level of responsibility.
This position may involve specific support tasks, assisting teachers, supervised health and wellbeing support tasks, medical intervention support tasks, or other specialized roles supporting students and teachers.
