About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, providing multi-talented occupational therapy services for children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum.

As an occupational therapist, you will make a difference in the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum by delivering meaningful support and working autonomously while being supported by a dedicated therapy team.

You will work with participants in their environments to develop support structures and strategies to help them reach their goals, collaborating with the individual and their families/support networks to identify strengths, areas of need and to develop actionable support plans.

You will meet participants in community settings to work on transferable skills that improve everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services for children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum.">
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to help participants reach their goals.">
  • Collaborate with participants, their families and support networks to identify strengths, areas of need and develop supportive strategies.">
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of participant progress and development.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy.">
  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant state or national board.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.">
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, particularly in community-based settings.">
