About the Role

We are looking for a talented Environmental Specialist to join our team in Queensland. As an Environmental Specialist, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of environmental management and infrastructure projects.

  • Provide expert advice on environmental impact assessments, focusing on terrestrial ecosystems, flora and fauna, biodiversity, and habitat.
  • Conduct field-based ecological surveys and prepare high-quality technical reports, environmental analyses, and mapping outputs.
  • Undertake research and fieldwork as required, collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated environmental work packages.
  • Engage with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Strong identification skills in Queensland flora, fauna, and ecological communities.
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in consulting, construction, or regulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with regional ecosystem and biocondition frameworks (or working towards).
  • GIS and field mapping tool experience; proficiency in MS Office.
  • Solid understanding of environmental legislation and approvals processes at all levels of government.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
