Vera Therapeutics is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. The company's lead product candidate, atacicept, is a fusion protein that blocks both BAFF and APRIL, which stimulate B cells to produce autoantibodies contributing to certain autoimmune diseases.
">The Senior Director, Human Resources will report to the SVP, Human Resources and partner closely with Vera's Commercial team leadership to advise on HR trends/initiatives, working toward organizational business objectives.
">This role will also manage a Human Resources Manager with a focus on employee relations.
Responsibilities:">
- ">
- Advise senior Commercial leaders in solving complex issues related to organization design, development, and change leadership.">
- Proactively define, build and implement value-added HR strategies and solutions.">
- Establish strategies and tactics to attract, develop, and motivate high-quality talent at all levels to support growth objectives and business strategies.">
- Build deep partnerships with all HR functions to provide HR solutions to key business needs.">
- Leverage data and people analytics to provide insights into business and talent trends that inform Commercial and HR priorities.">
- Participate and lead corporate-wide programs that enhance the employee experience and support growth and overall business strategy.">
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues as needed.">
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a fit-for-purpose TA strategy focusing on diverse and critical talent.">
- May design, plan, and implement HR projects and programs, including performance and development, talent management, employee engagement surveys, and HR policies and procedures.">
Requirements:">
- ">
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline.">
- 12+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.">
- Experience developing and implementing HR strategies with Commercial clients in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.">
- Expert-level experience developing strategic workforce plans from conception to implementation.">
- A history of success supporting client groups in a consultative role.">
- Knowledge of organizational development, process management, and change management.">
- Track record of advocating for the business unit and exemplifying HR best practices.">
- Experience mentoring HR talent and conducting thorough investigations with management recommendations.">
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to educate and influence.">
- Experience in talent management, succession planning, and career development; strong in culture and change initiatives.">
- Responsive to the needs of senior management, colleagues, and staff; understanding of employment laws and HR program administration.">
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships across diverse backgrounds and manage multiple complex tasks.">
- Experience with Sales Incentive program design and delivery is a plus.">
