About the Role

This is a hands-on position that focuses on safeguarding systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will require highly effective negotiation and communication skills, as well as a strong background in information security, compliance assessments – including knowledge of international and government security compliance frameworks and standards such as PSPF, ISM and ISO27001.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on security strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to industry standards.
  • Obtain and act on vulnerability information, conduct security risk assessments, business impact analysis and accreditation on complex information systems.
  • Investigate major security breaches and recommend suitable control improvements.
  • Ensure security risks, business functions and priorities are considered.
  • Contribute to the development of information security policy, standards and guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT security architecture/modelling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing and implementing practical solutions to information security risks and issues.

The successful candidate will deliver requirements agreed throughout the agile development process.
