Job Description:

The role of a Food Service Coordinator plays a vital part in maintaining the daily operations of the pantry and food services within the workplace. This position involves overseeing food and beverage offerings, ensuring an adequate inventory level, and guaranteeing a consistent supply of stock at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the replenishment of stock in snack shelves/baskets as required
  • Replenishing beverage/milk stock in fridges and/or shelves
  • Organizing overflow stock in storerooms
  • Placing perishable items in relevant areas (fruit, bread, etc.)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of stockrooms, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) storage practices
  • Restocking milk/beans for coffee machines
  • Supporting Lunch service (Setup / pack down)
  • Monitoring accurate inventory of food items and supplies, ensuring proper storage for both perishable and non-perishable goods
  • Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and pantry equipment, coffee machines, catering benches, pantry service area, pantry storage area, and other relevant spaces
Requirements For Success:
  • Desirable corporate experience, with knowledge of the food industry and its operations.
  • Current RSA competency card.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle shortages, compliance issues, and logistical challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional presentation at all times.
