Lead Mental Health Policy Advisor

The Department of Health seeks a highly skilled Policy Advisor to lead the development of policy recommendations for bed based and statewide services in Victoria's mental health system.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in public policy, project management or public health to contribute to the ongoing reform work of Victoria's mental health and wellbeing system following the Final Report of the Royal Commission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to bed based and statewide services
- Providing expert policy advice on initiatives and contributing to the department's strategic plans
- Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes for all Victorians
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in public policy, project management or public health, as well as a proven track record of developing policy or providing policy advice on initiatives and a sound understanding of the Victorian health system.
