Production Attraction Executive

The successful Production Attraction Executive will play a pivotal role in driving the promotion of local production in Western Australia.

This key position provides strategic support to the Head of Industry Development to achieve long-term outcomes and objectives. As the lead for our Production Attraction & Industry Development team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations including supporting funds, location services, and film friendly schemes and activities.

You will provide timely advice and support to stakeholders on production practices in WA, acting as an advocate for the local industry. You'll also oversee the targeted growth and development of the Below the Line (BTL) sector, managing a small, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice to industry practitioners and production companies regarding filming in Western Australia.
  • Collaborate with Perth Film Studios to facilitate production into Western Australia.
  • Manage and administer production incentives and funding programs.
  • Oversee the administration of the Workforce Capacity Development Funds including the BTL Crew Capacity Program.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to promote WA's locations, screen businesses, infrastructure, and film-friendly protocols to secure productions for WA.
  • Collaborate with WA State Government to deliver the WA State Screen Strategy and enable a Film Friendly WA.
  • Facilitate location recces for potential incoming productions.
  • Represent the organization at relevant industry functions and meetings, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor the Production Attraction & Industry Development team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in film and television production with a strong understanding of logistics and budgets.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, including demonstrated experience in managing actions to deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Local production knowledge.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
