We are seeking a motivated Graduate to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term 12-month contract based in Melbourne. You will have completed a degree in IT, Data Engineering, or Data Science or a related field in 2023 or 2024 at an Australian tertiary institution.

As a key player in our Data and Analytics team, you will play a vital role in helping us make informed business decisions using data-driven insights.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals to gain a deep understanding of how to work with data, solve problems, and make well-informed business choices in the financial services industry.

Focusing on Data Engineering and Analytics, you will assist in supporting and improving daily data ingestion, transformation processes, and automated data quality checks within our data platforms and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review the results of data quality checks and collaborate with internal data stewards and data providers to resolve any issues found.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of our data platforms, JIRA boards, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain reference data, statistical data, and workflow processes within the data platforms.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An understanding of financial services, investments, and superannuation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Python, SQL databases, and/or JIRA highly regarded.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with various stakeholders and taking initiative.
  • A willingness to champion and demonstrate our values and associated behaviors.
